By choosing to meet, handle, foster, adopt, or otherwise interact with any animal in the care of Pets of Ohio Rescue Team (PORT), you acknowledge and accept that you are voluntarily assuming all risks associated with such interaction. These risks include, but are not limited to, potential injury, illness, property damage, or harm to yourself, your household members, your pets, or others you choose to involve.

All animals in PORT’s care come from varied and often unknown backgrounds. Their health, behavior, vaccination history, and potential exposure to contagious diseases may not be fully known or apparent at the time of interaction. While PORT takes reasonable measures to assess and provide for the animals’ medical and behavioral needs during their time in our care, we make no guarantees regarding an animal’s temperament, health status, or suitability for any particular environment or household.

By proceeding to interact with a PORT animal in any capacity, you agree that PORT, its volunteers, board members, fosters, and affiliates shall not be held liable for any injuries, damages, losses, or expenses that may result from your involvement with the animal.

If you do not agree to these terms, you must refrain from engaging with any animals in PORT’s care.
